2022 NCAAF Bowl Game Odds

Orange Bowl

  • Date & Location: December 31 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • How to Watch: ESPN
  • Teams: No. 2 Michigan vs. No, 3 Georgia

The odds in this game seem far more tilted toward Georgia than they should be. Michigan, who played their best football of the year as the NCAA regular season came to a close, can win this game. I expect a defensive battle between these two teams, but I think Georgia, who was being spoken of in historical terms before the loss to Alabama, will get the win in this matchup.

Pick: Georgia to win

Cotton Bowl

  • Date & Location: December 31 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
  • Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
  • How to Watch: ESPN
  • Teams: No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Cincinnati

Don’t expect an upset in this one. The Crimson Tide will beat the Bearcats in this game. With that being said, at +410, Cincinnati is essentially getting a freeroll in this matchup. They are expected to get trounced. A certain kind of freedom comes with low expectations. With that, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Bearcats cover the spread.

Pick: Alabama to win

Peach Bowl

  • Date & Location: December 30 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • How to Watch: ESPN
  • Teams: No. 10 Michigan State vs. No. 12 Pittsburgh

Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi was the defensive coordinator from 2007 to 2014 for Michigan State. That makes this game an interesting one from a coaching and personal perspective. However, don’t expect the defense to decide the matchup between these two teams, this will be a high-scoring affair and it will be focused on the offense.

Pick: Pittsburgh to win

Sugar Bowl

  • Date & Location: January 1 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Time: 8:45 p.m. ET
  • How to Watch: ESPN
  • Teams: No 7 Baylor vs. No. 8 Ole Miss

This game might not get the attention of the games coming before January 1, but football fans should make plans to watch the matchup between Baylor and Ole Miss because it’s going to be a close game. Baylor is coming off an 11-2 season, while Ole Miss went 10-2. Expect Ole Miss to pull off the upset in the Sugar Bowl.

Pick: Ole Miss to win

Fiesta Bowl

  • Date & Location: January 1 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona
  • Time: 1 p.m. ET
  • How to Watch: ESPN
  • Teams: No. 5 Notre Dame vs. No. 9 Oklahoma State

Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman makes his bowl debut at the Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma State. Oklahoma is coming off a 21-16 loss to Baylor in a game that knocked the team out of the playoffs. Notre Dame didn’t face the quality of competition that Oklahoma State did during the season, but they are a complete team that is firing on all cylinders and I sense a Notre Dame win.

Pick: Notre Dame to win

Rose Bowl

  • Date & Location: January 1 at Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California
  • Time: 5 p.m. ET
  • How to Watch: ESPN
  • Teams: No. 6 Ohio State vs. No. 11 Utah

Utah has the blueprint on how to beat Ohio State following Michigan’s win over the Buckeyes, but do the Utes have the skill and the players to put that blueprint to use? I think Utah does well against Ohio State, but I don’t think they get the win.

Pick: Ohio State to win
