Free Betting Picks For 2021 NCAAF Conference Title Games

Being as it’s championship weekend, there are a lot fewer college football bets to make this weekend. But hey, that just means we can better focus on a few select matchups that are most “bang for our buck.” After doing the hard research, we’re giving you our betting picks for 2021 NCAA conference titles games — completely free of cost!

Against The Spread: Alabama Rolling Tide vs. Georgia Bulldogs

TeamBetOnlineBovada
Alabama spread (+6.5)-104-104
Georgia spread (-6.5)-116-116

Without question, this will be the most bet-on college game at the best NCAA football betting sites this weekend. Why? Welp, it’s the SEC and it’s Bama vs. Georgia, a heated rivalry as any in today’s landscape. Immediately, we gravitate toward the Tide-Bulldog against-the-spread line.

Can anyone remember the last time a Nick Saban-coached Alabama team was almost seven-point underdogs? We’re drawing blanks, but then again, that line is warranted after the Tide barely beat out Auburn in last weekend’s Iron Bowl. It was held without a touchdown until the final minute of the game thanks to shoddy offensive line play. The big men up front allowed seven sacks and failed to create running lines for its rushers.

Our prediction is those offensive shortcomings for the Tide will carry over into the SEC title game. Georgia’s season-long dominance starts with its suffocating defense. Over the course of the year, the Dawgs have allowed an average of only 212.3 yards of offense and 7.5 points per game. Unless Bama can miraculously fix its offensive line in one week (spoiler alert: highly unlikely), then Georgia should have no problems making Bryce Young’s life a nightmare for the Heisman candidate from Alabama.

Give us the Bulldogs and give us the points. When it’s all said and done, we might be talking about this Georgia team putting together one of the best college football seasons of all time — they’re THAT good. A runaway victory over its rivals in the friendly confines of Mercedes-Benz Stadium will cement that legacy.

Against The Spread: Michigan Wolverines vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

TeamBetOnlineBovada
Iowa spread (+11)-110-110
Michigan spread (-11)-110-110

Another title game, another against-the-spread line that’s not overly close, per the most-used and best online sportsbooks. At 11 points, Michigan has the biggest against-the-spread line of all the Power Five conference championship games against Iowa. So is it warranted or not? We say, yes, it’s totally deserving.

The Wolverines beating rival Buckeyes last Saturday came as a surprise to most, and more so in the fashion they did it. They controlled most of the game on both sides of the ball. Offensively, they rushed for an eye-popping 297 yards (7.2 yards per carry)! On defense, they were able to contain the nation’s most-prolific offense led by the Heisman Trophy frontrunner. Ohio State mustered only 27 points — its second-lowest output in 2021.

And now, Michigan gets a much more favorable matchup against Iowa in the Big 10 championship game. Both these teams are run-first offenses and both rely on its defense to make game-changing plays. The thing is, the Wolverines are much more effective at doing both than the Hawkeyes.

We really believe Jim Harbaugh and Michigan are on a mission this season, one that likely ends with a national title game matchup versus Georgia. Iowa shouldn’t pose a huge threat, therefore, covering the spread seems within reason. Take the Wolverines’ spread here!

Over/Under 46.5 Points: Baylor Bears vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys

TeamBetOnlineBovada
Over 46.5 Points-110-110
Under 46.5 Points-110-110

These two teams met less than two months ago. In the first meeting, the Cowboys outlasted the Bears 24-14 at home. That previous result explains why the over/under is set at a modest 46.5 points in the Big 12 title game rematch.

How both teams got here — and not Oklahoma, Texas, or Iowa State — is a surprise to most. Yet, here we are as the Cowboys are a one-loss team and still have a realistic chance at earning a spot in the College Football Playoff. Baylor lost twice this season but showed an uncanny ability to win close games.

Like the first game, we expect another defensive slugfest. After all, that’s how the favorites, Oklahoma State, got here to begin with. They’ve allowed 16.4 points per game this season, which ranks fifth-best in the entire nation. Meanwhile, Baylor isn’t all that far behind with its 19.4 average. This game will also be played on a neutral site, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, therefore, there’s no home-field advantage to fall back on for either side.

So as you can probably guess, we’re suggesting the under here. We expect the Pokes to clamp down its already top-notch defense in an effort to secure a playoff bid.
