Unlike the Atlantic Division, the ACC Coastal Division has a little more room to battle as there are four teams who could easily win the zone.Β The College Football Odds definitely knows it; thatβs everybody has a fair shot at the division title.
Miami Hurricanes +200:
The way Stephen Morris ended last season makes you think the Hurricanes fans have a lot to be thrilled about.Β Morris completed 60 percent of his passes and threw for 11 touchdowns without an interception.
Their defense should be better than last year, which shouldnβt be a surprise considering they were horrible in 2012.
Virginia Tech Hokies +250:
Scot Loeffler as an offensive coordinator should make a simple difference for this yearβs offense, which was surprisingly bad last year.
Quarterback Logan Thomas is back on his senior year, and that should help the team as he threw 2,976 yards and 18 touchdowns but also 16 interceptions last season; he knows he can do better.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets +350
Joshua Nesbitt and Tevin Washington and Vad are the three options at quarterback, but the personnel surrounding them have mostly gone.
βAs far as getting playmakers the ball and getting to the outside, getting to the edge, I think itβs an advantage,β Lee says. βItβs kind of a twist for any defense because everyoneβs used to seeing us in the standard spread formation.β
