Oregon is 3-0 straight up but 1-2 against the spread because they always are involved in high spread games. The Dicks biggest concern is their passing defense as they have allowed 627 passing yards and four passing scores in the last two weeks.
“When everybody’s done their job, and everybody fits where they’re supposed to fit and takes care of their business, we’ve been great,” Oregon coach Mark Helfrich told the school’s official website. “A few breakdowns (Saturday), just gap-wise, turned into big plays. β¦ Those are the kinds of things that cannot happen.”
Washington State is 1-2 this season and 1-2 against the spread. The Cougars havenβt been able to win in the series over the last seven games.
“Oregon’s a fast team, they’re an explosive team, and people that don’t play within themselves will squander plays, and they’re not a team you can afford to squander plays against,” Coach Mike Leach said. “They’re quick enough to make up for their mistakes. … If somebody else makes a mistake, it might go for 15 yards. Oregon makes a mistake; it might go for six. You have to be prepared to execute more plays.”
Oregon is 1-4 ATS in its last five games when playing on the road against Washington State.
