A tremendous SEC battle will have the Tennessee Volunteers taking on the Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday at 12 PM ET, at the Sanford Stadium, for the College Football week 5.
Both teams are 2-1 and but before the season started the expectations were bigger over the Bulldogs than over the Volunteers.
Georgia is also 2-1 against the spread this season after covering the spread against Clemson and Troy. The Bulldogs smashed the Troy Trojans 66-0 last week.
“There were a couple mistakes that could have been critical errors that we kind of got away with, so we’re still not 100 percent on getting lined up right,” Georgiaβs coach Mark Richt said about his defense “But we’re getting a lot better. The communication is getting a lot better, and we’re still playing a lot of guys. So there’s still a big learning curve back there, but I do feel like we’re getting better.”
Tennessee is 1-2 against the spread as they failed to cover in the loss against Oklahoma two weeks ago and against Arkansas State the previous week.
“Our young football team is going to find out what life is in the SEC with the grind that we are about to embark on,” said coach Butch Jones., whose Vols were off last week in preparation for their conference opener.
The College Football odds have the Bulldogs as 18-point favorites. Georgia is 5-1 SU in its last six games when playing Tennessee, but 2-5-1 ATS in its last eight games when playing the Volunteers.Β Also, Georgia is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six games when playing at home against Tennessee.
