Dak-Prescott-The best game of week 7 features two top-ranked, undefeated teams, as the second-ranked Auburn Tigers visit Davis Wade Stadium to take on the third-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs (Saturday, October 11, at 3:30 PM ET). The winner will sit on top of the SEC West division and could find themselves the top ranked team in the country, come Monday.

The Tigers are 5-0 this season (2-0 SEC), but facing Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott will be the toughest test so far for Auburn’s defense.  Auburn allows a miniscule 14.4 points per game, 9th best in the nation, but even the Auburn players know Prescott is a different beast. “This will be the first quarterback in a while with that size and caliber,” Auburn cornerback Johnathon Mincy said.

Last weekend, Auburn crushed LSU 41-7, but the significance of that blowout is hard to gauge, as the Tigers have been up-and-down. Auburn covered the spread last weekend as a seven point favorite, and they are now 3-2 against the spread this season.

Auburn QB Nick Marshall, a Heisman hopeful, has thrown for 755 yards, 8 TDs, and 1 INT this season, and has completed 57.9% of his passes. But Marshall’s numbers are dwarfed by Prescott’s. The Bulldog’s pivot has completed 63.9% of his throws for 1232 yards, 13 TDs, and 2 INTs. Prescott, along with Georgia’s Todd Gurley, is the mid-season favorite for the Heisman.

The Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0 SEC) have been a great bet this season, posting a 4-1 ATS record so far. Against Texas A&M last weekend, the Bulldogs entered as three point favorites, but cruised to a 48-31 victory. That said, Mississippi State is 4-8 ATS in its last 12 games against Auburn.

Auburn is listed as 2.5 point favorites, and the game total sits at 63 points.
