A tremendous Big 12 matchup is on tap for this Saturday as the Oklahoma State Cowboys clash with the TCU Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth (4:00 p.m. Eastern).

Oklahoma State (5-1, 3-0 Big 12) has won five straight. Last week, the Cowboys beat Kansas 27-20, but failed to cover the spread as 20 points favorites.  The Cowboys are 3-3 against the spread on the year, and four of their six games have hit the over.

“We came out with a victory. We’re undefeated in league play, and we’re 5-1. There’s definitely things to learn from the game, like there is from each game,” Cowboys linebacker Seth Jacobs said. “We’re in a good position right now, and we just have to focus on the next game.”

Oklahoma State boasts a fairly balanced attack. The Cowboys average 265 yards per game in the air and 155 on the ground. Junior QB Daxx Garman has managed games fairly well, throwing ten TDs to just five picks. The Cowboys only loss was an opening week nail-biter against the defending National Champions, FSU.

TCU is an offensive juggernaut. The Horned Frogs average 325 pass yards per game (12th in the nation) and 185 rushing yards. They are also third best in the country in scoring, averaging over 45 points per game.

For TCU (4-1, 1-1 Big 12), this week is about bouncing back after a fourth quarter meltdown last weekend against Baylor.  The Horned Frogs were leading by 21 points in the fourth quarter, but allowed 24 straight points and likely gave away their chance at a playoff spot.

“I feel bad for my kids because they played well, especially [on] offense,” TCU coach Gary Patterson said. “Fifty-eight points should be enough to win.”

TCU are ten-point favorites and the over/under sits at 62. The Frogs are 5-0 against the spread this season.
