Fight Hunger Bowl Odds- BYU vs Washington

Interim coach Marques Tuiasosopo will try to lead the Washington Huskies to a win in the Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco against the BYU Cougars, this Friday at 6 PM ET at the AT&T Park.

washington huskies“I’m humbled and so honored,” said Tuiasosopo. “It’s a great, incredible honor to lead my alma mater in a bowl game. We still have a lot to play for this season. I am excited to go out and get a ninth win.”

The Huskies are 8-4 this season with Steve Sarkisian as their head coach; Sarkisian was hired by USC to take the program to the next level next year.  Washington will have current Boise State head coach Chris Petersen as their next manager in 2014.

BYU has a steadier head coaching situation; they are also 8-4 and have been bowl eligible for the ninth straight season.

“We are looking forward to the opportunity to play Washington in the Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco,” coach Bronco Mendenhall said. “I’m proud of our team. We are excited to be in the postseason for the ninth straight year with a chance to grow our program facing an outstanding football program.”

Washington is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games and BYU is 1-4-1 ATS in its last 6 games.  The NCAAF odds have the Huskies as 3 point favorites.

In the series, BYU is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Washington.
