It’s hard to believe, but the regular season has officially closed for college football fanatics. With that, Championship Weekend is on the way, including Georgia and Alabama meeting for the Southeastern Conference championship. Which team will post a win? In the 2025 Iron Bowl for the Crimson Tide of Alabama, Miller got hurt against the Tigers of Auburn. Head coach of Alabama Kalen DeBoer said that it was a lower-leg injury for his running back, leaving his status for the SEC Championship Game unknown. If he’s not able to play for DeBoer and the Alabama coaches, it will be a huge issue for the Crimson Tide once these two teams face off.

“He’ll continue to go through his testing here this week, today and tomorrow,” Kalen DeBoer said not long after the win against Auburn last weekend. “I thought [he] made some cuts [against Auburn] I hadn’t seen him make for a while.”

Jam Miller Injury Update: Star RB’s status unknown for the SEC Championship Game

Obviously, it would be a huge setback for Alabama and Kalen DeBoer if Jam Miller is not able to play. He is the superstar running back for Alabama and he really helps out quarterback Ty Simpson whenever he’s out on the field. Soon enough, however, we’ll find out if he can play or not.

If Miller can’t go, it’s going to put extra pressure on Simpson and the passing attack to be at their best against Georgia. As for the Bulldogs of UGA, head coach Kirby Smart is ready for some revenge on Alabama, as the Crimson Tide beat Georgia earlier this year.

Quarterback Gunner Stockton has looked incredible for the Dawgs, with him and Simpson being two of the best quarterbacks in the SEC. Them going head-to-head with one another has a lot of football fans excited, but Miller potentially missing the game will provide UGA with a big advantage.

With this game scheduled for Saturday in Atlanta, there’s still time for Miller to get himself healthy and suit up. It will be interesting to see how things go there.
