The biggest game of the year is here for the Wolverines of Michigan and Buckeyes of Ohio State. This is the best rivalry matchup for college sports and fans for both Big Ten teams are excited to see what’s going to happen. This week, players are trying to get healthy. With that said, the Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate injuries are impacting Ohio State-Michigan odds.
Smith didn’t play in the last win at home against Rutgers. He was seen limping a little bit, but head coach of Ohio State University Ryan Day wouldn’t specify how serious things were. Instead, he said that both Tate and Smith are ‘day-to-day’ with their injuries, which has people confused as to whether or not they’ll play against the Wolverines or not.
| Ohio State vs Michigan odds | |||
| Ohio State to win | -310 | -310 | -310 |
| Michigan to win | +450 | +450 | +450 |

“The only thing I’ll really say is they’re day-to-day, and the staff and those guys are working really hard to get ready to play next week,” Ryan Day said. “The guys had a really good week of work in terms of focus, and it was a good opportunity for others to step up in different ways. It’ll be the same this week, and those guys will have to fight like heck to get back on the field.”
Ohio State fans are hoping Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate can play against Michigan
Tate might be the one who fans of Ohio State are most worried about, as he also didn’t play against Purdue. If either player misses this game, it’s going to be a setback for the Buckeyes offense and superstar quarterback Julian Sayin.
Last week against Rutgers, Ohio State didn’t have any issues in winning, but Michigan’s defense is on another level. Keep in mind too that whenever these two teams go to war, the records for both sides are thrown out the window. There’s pride on the line and neither side wants to lose.
According to the best sports betting sites, Ohio State holds -310 betting odds to post a win. As for Michigan, the best NCAAF betting sites have given them +450 odds to post an upset. This tells us that the Vegas oddsmakers think the Buckeyes are going to win and do so with ease.
However, Michigan is of course ready to have a say in that. The Wolverines have beaten Ohio State four years in a row and Ryan Day and his players are sick of losing to their hated Big Ten rivals. This feels like the year for the Buckeyes to end the losing streak, but Sherrone Moore, Bryce Underwood and the rest of the Michigan team has other ideas in mind.
This game will also have a College Football Playoff betting odds impact, with Ohio State currently No. 1 in the country and Michigan pushing for a spot in the Top 12. With a win, Ohio State will likely lock in its No. 1 overall seed, though the Big Ten title game could change things. With a loss, Michigan will be out of the CFP. It will be interesting to see if Smith and Tate are able to play or not.
