March Madness: North Carolina vs Kansas in a Heated Battle

North Carolina has done of the most impressive wins in the first round of March Madness, and now they will have to take on number one seed Kansas if they want to keep into the dance.  The game is on Sunday at 5:15 PM ET.

Hairston had 23 points and five rebounds. “It was special because Coach didn’t even know we had the jersey for him,” said P.J. Hairston. “He wasn’t expecting it at all. He is proud, but he wasn’t even thinking about the 700.”

“I thought earlier in the game it was all happy and smooth, and the ball was going in the basket,” Williams said. “Then all of a sudden they started competing a little harder than we did.”

Kansas also had their hands full with Western Kentucky, which they defeated by seven points.

“We’re pleased we won, and didn’t play our best by any stretch,” Kansas coach Bill Self said. “They controlled the game for the most part. We’re happy to advance, but certainly not pleased with how we played.” ”

“A North Carolina-Kansas game, everybody comes to play,” the Jayhawks’ Elijah Johnson said. “Roy is coming back, there’s going to be a lot of fans pumped up, and we’ll be pumped.”

Kansas beat the Hilltoppers despite they made just one field goal outside the paint, tied for the fewest in any game in the last four Men’s Basketball Championship.
