LSU VS OKLAHOMA
Leaving no doubt in Heisman voters’ minds, Joe Burrow threw for 349 passing yards and four touchdowns in a 37-10 win over Georgia.
The dominant performance neutered the Bulldogs’ playoff hopes while propelling the Tigers past Ohio State for the No. 1 seed.

Looking to win their first national championship since 2007, LSU opened as a more than touchdown favorite against No. 4 Oklahoma.
Lincoln Riley’s squad squeaked into the tournament thanks to both Georgia’s setback and Utah’s pathetic 37-15 loss to Oregon in the Pac-12 championship. The Sooners also handled their Big 12 business with a 30-23 overtime-win over Baylor.
With a national title and three trips to the national title game already on his resume, Jalen Hurts has the big-game poise required to lead OU to its first playoff win in four appearances.

However, beating an LSU program that’s coming off its first unbeaten regular season since 2011 will be no small task. If you’re thinking upset, we hope you jumped on our recommendation to bet Oklahoma at +3300 last week.
OHIO STATE VS CLEMSON
The Buckeyes rallied from a two-touchdown deficit to down Wisconsin 34-21 on Saturday night, but their rough first half was just the excuse the selection committee needed to bump Ohio State to the No. 2 seed.
Entering the College Football Playoff 13-0 for the first time since the 2002 national title team, Ryan Day’s squad has Heisman contenders on both sides of the ball in quarterback Justin Fields, running back J.K. Dobbins, and defensive end Chase Young (an expected top-two pick in the 2020 NFL Draft).

After winning their third-consecutive Big Ten championship, the Buckeyes will face the defending national champions from Clemson, who enter the playoff on a 28-game winning streak.
The Tigers’ soft season schedule has created a bit of mystery as to how good they really are, but Dabo Swinney’s team appears to be peaking at the right time.
Clinching Clemson’s fifth-straight ACC title and fifth-consecutive CFP appearance, sophomore Trevor Lawrence threw for 302 yards and four scores in a 62-17 win over Virginia on Saturday.

He’ll now square off with fellow Georgia-native Justin Fields. The No. 1 and 2 prospects in the 2018 recruiting class grew up just 30 minutes apart from each other and will now go head-to-head for the first time in college in a playoff semifinal.
Considering both will be favorites to win the Heisman next season, the Fiesta Bowl will be a fascinating first chapter in what’s sure to be an incredible college football rivalry.
