After losing their first game of the season the (21-1) Arizona Wildcats look to bounce back against a Pac-12 rival when they clash against the (15-6) Oregon Ducks, this Thursday Night at 9 PM ET at McKale Center.
Arizona failed to deliver on Saturday and ended up losing to the California Golden Bears 60-58; they are no longer the number one team in the nation.
“We’d always found a way to be on the positive end of it,” Wildcats coach Sean Miller said after the loss. “Tonight in that same moment, we didn’t make the shots, and we didn’t get the big stop.”
The Wildcats are now 21-1 straight up and 13-8 against the spread this season. Keep in mind Arizona is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games following a SU loss.
Oregon arrives to this matchup after they beat USC 78-66 with 21 points from Joseph Young.
“I don’t want everybody to know,” Young said about his preparation for game day. “It’s 250 makes the day before the game because you don’t want to be too tired for the game. It takes 45 minutes. That’s how you know you’re doing it in game speed if you can do it in that amount of time.”
Arizona is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games overall, and 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games when playing at home against Oregon. Also, the total has gone UNDER in 5 of the Wildcats’ last 7 games when playing at home against the Ducks
