NCAAF Odds – (7) TCU at (20) West Virginia

Set to be one of the best games in week 10, the TCU Horned Frogs (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) take on the West Virginia Mountaineers (6-2, 4-1 Big 12), this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern at the Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

TCU has the top scoring offense in the nation, averaging 50.4 points per game. Their best performance of the year so far – statistically, anyway – came last weekend against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Frogs posted an 82-27 win against a swiss-cheese Texas Tech defense. Quarterback Trevone Boykin completed 22 of 34 passes for 433 yards, seven touchdowns, and no interceptions.

“I felt perfect,” said Boykin, who had a career-high in yards passing for the second straight week. “I think everybody was pretty amped up. These are one of the teams we haven’t beaten in the Big 12, and it was just time to pay those guys back.”

While the TCU offense has been putting up points all year, their most recent games have been the most impressive; TCU has averaged an incredible 60.6 points over their last three outings.

West Virginia’s offense is not on par with TCU, but it has respectable numbers, averaging 36.9 points per game (23rd in the nation).  The Mountaineers also enter this game with a ton of momentum; they have won four straight, including a 34-10 road win over Oklahoma State last weekend.

“Now we’re both sitting here with six wins and are doing pretty good things here on all three sides of the ball,” WVU coach Dana Holgorsen said. “As far as with what we’re concerned, it’s another big game. It’s another Big 12 game.”

Like most years, West Virginia has been especially tough in Morgantown this year. They are 3-1 at home with convincing wins over Towson, Kansas, and then-undefeated Baylor. The lone setback came against Oklahoma (45-33), when the Mountaineers turned the ball over three times.

TCU is 5.5-point favorites, and the total is 73.5.
