Alabama knows they are the best team in the country, but their next game against Auburn has a different mystique all over. The Crimson Tide visits the Tigers, this Saturday at 3:30 PM ET at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
“It feels like we’ve been preparing for every other team, not really anything different,” Alabama QB AJ McCarron said. “We all know it’s a huge game, and we’re going to play our hearts out, preparing like we normally do.”
Alabama just beat Chattanooga 49-0 last weekend, but of course this challenge is completely different.
“It’s going to be important for everybody in our organization to make a commitment to doing their very best job to play their best football because that’s probably what it’s going to take to have success against a very good team”, coach Nick Saban said.
Auburn beat Georgia 43-38, and they have won seven in a row.
“We’ve been through a lot,” defensive end Dee Ford told reporters about the turnaround of the Tigers after a horrible 2013. “Everything that we went through last year is definitely showing this year. When you persevere through a season like that, you’ve been through nothing worse.”
The NCAAF betting odds have Alabama as a 10 point favorite over their rivals Auburn; the game total was set at 55 points.
Auburn is 3-6 ATS in its last 9 games when playing at home against Alabama; also, the total has gone UNDER in 5 of Auburn’s last 7 games when playing Alabama.
