On Saturday, the Wolverines of Michigan and Buckeyes of Ohio State are going to play in the best rivalry game of college sports. Michigan owns a four-game streak of winning over their rivals, which Ohio State wants to change. With that said, Ohio State is a huge favorite against Michigan, but the line keeps changing. Which team will come out on top?
Originally, the betting line spread for this Big Ten game was set at 12.5 points. Since then, however, the injuries to Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith have changed things a bit, as the line is now 10.5 points. According to the best sports betting sites, Ohio State is expected to win, but not by as much. Could Michigan make this close? That’s what the Vegas analysts think could be the case.
“These Ohio State fans are psychotic about this. They all need to go see a doctor. … I’d rather win the National Championship than beat Michigan.”

Ohio State is favored by 10.5 points for Saturday’s game against Michigan
Not long ago, superstar wide receiver Jeremiah Smith confirmed that he’s going to play in this game. There was worry that he would not play against Michigan due to an injury, but it looks like he will be out there catching balls from Julian Sayin. Elsewhere, Carnell Tate’s status remains unknown, but Ryan Day said it’s still a work in progress.
“The only thing I’ll really say is they’re day-to-day, and the staff and those guys are working really hard to get ready to play next week,” Day said in a recent interview. “The guys had a really good week of work in terms of focus, and it was a good opportunity for others to step up in different ways. It’ll be the same this week, and those guys will have to fight like heck to get back on the field.”
On Tuesday night, the latest College Football Playoff rankings were dropped and Ohio State remains the No. 1 team in the country. That wasn’t a surprise at all. Michigan went from number 18 to number 15, which is not what people expected. If anything, it has people even more excited for the rivalry game this weekend.
The weather is also something for people to keep an eye on, as snow is expected to arrive. If that happens, quarterback Julian Sayin may not be able to throw the ball all over the field like he’s so used to. This would of course be a problem for Ohio State and Ryan Day. What can everyone expect in this meeting?
Whenever Michigan and Ohio State play, there’s a lot of drama. They hate one another and that will be no different for Saturday’s game. The odds keep changing, which fans weren’t expecting. If anything, it just speaks to the fact that even if there’s a difference in the rankings, anything can happen when these two teams play. It will be interesting to see what happens at Michigan Stadium on Saturday.
