The College Football season is here and after an exciting Week 0 for football fans, Week 1 has arrived. The Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked as the number two team and the Texas Longhorns squad has been given the number one ranking by the Associated Press. This is the best game of the year. Unfortunately, the Ohio State vs. Texas game is now being overshadowed by Dave Portnoy.
The controversial founder of Barstool Sports is all set to make his debut with FOX for Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday, which loads of fans across earth aren’t looking forward to. It was reported that Portnoy was actually going to be banned from entering the stadium by Ohio State, as he’s been known to go after the Buckeyes due to him being a Michigan fan. That’s not the case, with Ohio State clearing that up.
| NCAA Week 1 odds | |||
| Texas to win | -110 | -110 | -110 |
| Ohio State to win | +125 | +125 | +125 |
| Over 48.5 points | -110 | -110 | -110 |

Dave Portnoy won’t be banned by Ohio State to enter the stadium for the Texas game
“Ohio State did not issue a ban on Dave Portnoy, AD Ross Bjork tells Yahoo Sports,” reporter Ross Dellenger posted on social media. “Bjork confirms that FOX decided Portnoy would not be on the main desk of Big Noon Kickoff and those not on the desk do not normally appear on the field. These are Fox decisions, he emphasized.”
Michigan fans were going after Ohio State, but in the end this turned out to be a miscommunication for everyone involved. Having said that, loads of attention over the past 24 hours has gone to Portnoy and this is something that Ohio State and Texas’ fanbase is tired of. Instead, they are convinced that the focus should be on two of the top teams in the country facing off.
According to the top sports betting sites, Ohio State holds -110 NCAAF betting odds to post a win at home in front of everyone inside of the stadium. Texas is the number one program in the rankings, but they’ve been given +125 odds via the best college football betting sites. This game is going to be quite close, but a lot of points are expected.
There will be two new starting quarterbacks on the field, with Julian Sayin starting for Ohio State and Arch Manning is taking over the offense for Texas. Quinn Ewers, the former Texas QB, is now with the Dolphins. Ohio State’s former starting quarterback is Will Howard and he’s now with the Steelers. Howard helped Ohio State win the championship last year.
Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day is confident in Sayin, but the same could be said on the other side of the field. Texas Longhorns head football coach Steve Sarkisian is putting all of his trust in Manning. Everyone is hopeful that this will be a great game and the two teams will provide electric entertainment. That should be the main talking point with Big Noon Kickoff later this week and not Portnoy.
