Smash the Over on Alabama’s 2022 SEC Win Total Predictions
This is the easiest decision we’ll make throughout this entire exercise.
Some are worried Alabama sent too many players to the NFL. Not us. The Crimson Tide have eight rotation players returning to an elite defense, and quarterback Bryce Young is a megastar who should be able to drive the offense to a much better than average finish.
Don’t be surprised if and when Alabama goes undefeated.
MTS Prediction: Alabama will win over 10.5 games (-280)
Georgia will Comfortably Clear Their 2022 SEC Win Total Predictions
The reigning National Champions look poised to run the tables again in their division.
Not only is Georgia returning most of their core from last season, but their schedule is shaping up to be extremely favorable. In fact, most experts believe that a win over Oregon in Week 1 will essentially guarantee an undefeated season.
MTS Prediction: Georgia will win over 10.5 games (-250)
Was Arkansas a Flash in the Pan During the 2021 Season?
Paint us concerned about the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Last year’s most underrated team has a lot to prove this season. And while KJ Jefferson is back calling signals under center, we have serious doubts as to whether they’ve surrounded him with enough offensive weapons to play better than .500 football.
MTS Prediction: Arkansas will win under 7 games (-105)
LSU Deserves More Credit in the Standings
LSU is going through the rebuilding motions. We get it. But this 6.5-victory line is a gift in our eyes.
Skeptics will point to a shaky offensive line and defensive secondary. We’re not that worried. The Tigers are welcoming in one of the best recruiting classes in the nation. They should get enough pick-me-ups from newcomers to rattle off seven or more victories and be a general irritant in the SEC West.
MTS Prediction: LSU will win over 6.5 games (-120)
Mississippi State May Be Crippled by Tough Schedule
To be honest, there’s not much to hate about Mississippi State entering the 2022 season. They could feasibly be among the darlings in SEC win total predictions.
Will Rogers is returning at quarterback after absolutely annihilating the stat sheet last year. His efficiency through the air can carry even the most barren of offenses, and Mississippi State’s offense is far from bereft of surrounding talent. This team also returns most of the big names from last year’s top-four defense, another positive indicator for their success.
At the same time, one look at their schedule shows Mississippi State will have their work cut out for them. Perhaps no school in college football faces a more difficult slate, and there’s a chance their season gets away from them a little early.
MTS Prediction: Mississippi State will win under 6.5 games (+115)
2022 SEC Win Total Predictions: Texas A&M Could Be in for a Rude Awakening
We want to pick the over for Texas A&M. We really do.
Experts believe this is one of the best individual recruiting classes in college football history, and Jim Fischer is easily overseeing the most talented defense that’s ever been bestowed upon him. Still, expecting them to rattle off nine or more victories is difficult when looking at their schedule.
For starters, Texas A&M will be opening up the season against Alabama. That’s a tough pull. They’ll also have Arkansas and Mississippi State on tap throughout the season, as well as a second meeting against the Crimson Tide in October.
As much as we want to go over, this is one SEC win total prediction we can’t skew optimistic on.
MTS Prediction: Texas A&M will win under 8.5 games (+140)
