Sunday Big Ten Match: Indiana vs Ohio State

Indiana will try to put behind their last second loss against Illinois as they visit Ohio State for a Big Ten classic matchup, this Sunday at 1 PM ET.

Sunday Big Ten Match: Indiana vs Ohio StateThe Hoosiers controlled the entire game against the Illini, but they failed to close it and lost. “I can’t answer that. I’m not sure,” Indiana coach Tom Crean said. “I just know that these games are 40-minute games. We played at a high level for most of the game.”

“We just didn’t execute when we needed to,” he said.

“We over helped (on defense) rather than staying committed to the corners. That’s when (D.J. Richardson) hit us (with three-pointers). When you go against great talent, which this league is full of, you have to stay committed for 40 minutes. You have to keep your chest in front of the ball, keep the communication high”, he ended saying.

This was the fifth straight week the No. 1 team lost, but it was the first time it occurred against an unranked team.

Ohio State could use a bounce back game because the defeat against Michigan didn’t suit well. “There was a bit of contact,” Aaron Craft, who had the last second shot said. “But they didn’t call it, so I guess it wasn’t a foul.”

Ohio State is 7-3 straight up facing Indiana, and 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games in the series.  The over has been present in six of the last 10 games, with three games going UNDER the total and just one as a push.
