In addition to suddenly finding themselves outside the CFP picture, the Crimson Tide also face the challenge of restoring the confidence of sports bettors, who have endured Alabama’s uneven performance at the sportsbooks since late last season. The upside for Bama is their recent dominance over Mississippi State. The Tide have won outright in 13 meetings with the Bulldogs since 2007, capped by last season’s crushing 41-0 win on home turf. However, they can ill afford to look past a well rested Mississippi State squad that enjoyed a bye last week after knocking off Texas A&M 26-22 as 7-point road underdogs. The Bulldogs have also been respectable performers on home turf, winning outright in four of their past six, and also sport a 5-2 SU record in their past seven meetings with major schools. However, they have consistently disappointed sports bettors during a 2-6 ATS run at home, a trend that is likely to continue this weekend.

However, the Bulldogs could have their hands full against the Wildcats, who arrive at Sanford Stadium with an unblemished 6-0 SU record. Kentucky also sits alongside the Bulldogs atop the SEC East Division standings, and would like nothing better than to spoil Georgia’s party. The Wildcats also have plenty to gain with a strong performance on Saturday.

The team rocketed to No. 11 in the national rankings in the wake of last weekend’s 42-21 win over LSU. However, they are unlikely to keep things close on the road against Georgia.
