Tigers vs. Tigers for the SEC Championship game as Missouri and Auburn clash this Saturday at 4 PM ET at the Georgia Dome in what should be a tremendous matchup.
In the beginning of the season, the matchup itself was highly unlikely, but now here we are with both teams having a tremendous season while trying to close it with a great win this weekend.
“We’re playing a very good Missouri team that’s very similar to us,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. “I think about both teams being very hungry. We were both kind of down at the bottom at the start of the year. But we’ve improved. I feel like we’ve improved each game. They would probably say the same thing.”
Missouri has only lost once, even as they missed their starting QB for several weeks on the year.
“We just kept getting better,” he said Sunday. “Our kids played hard every single game at a very high level. I’ve been around a lot of good football teams, but I’ve rarely been around a team like that, playing at the level they did on a consistent basis.”
There are no real trends between these two schools because they haven’t faced since 1973, but while Missouri is 11-1 against the spread this season, while Auburn is 10-2.
The NCAAF betting odds have Auburn as a 1.5 point spread favorite for this matchup and the game total listed at 58 points.
