The Seahawks are now in an unexpected quarterback controversy with Russell Wilson and Matt Flynn fighting to see who gets the starting job. Seattle will face the Kansas City Chiefs this Friday at 8 PM ET.
The lines have the Chiefs as a 1.5 home underdog, while the game total is 42.
Russell Wilson is a rookie quarterbacks that has showed a lot of terrific stuff in the preseason, and despite that most people were quite sure it would be Matt Flynn who would lead the offense in 2012, now nobody is so sure.
Quarterback Matt Flynn took limited reps in practice. Carroll said that they just wanted to rest Flynn’s arm heading into this weekend. “We just wanted to keep him out for one day of throwing before the weekend, so we did that,” Carroll said.
Is Flynn’s arm tired affect his ability to play on Friday? “No, not at this point at all,” Carroll said.
Carroll also confirmed that Wilson will be the starting quarterback for the game against the Chiefs.
Kansas City, on the other hand, is happy to see their main wide receiver, Dwayne Bowe, take some snaps with the team.
“The business part is over, I signed Friday, and the great part about it is I’m here now with my teammates,” Bowe said. “I’ve been coming in extra early in the morning, staying late after practice, in the meeting room with Matt, trying to expedite the opportunity to get out there.”
