Frank LorenzoAnother loss for the 2-5 Pittsburgh Steelers would be devastating for their playoffs dreams; they visit the New England Patriots this Sunday at 4:25 PM ET for a NFL Week 10 AFC matchup.
The Steelers lost to the Raiders last week, and all the doubts about their weaknesses came back despite they had two wins in a row before that loss.
“The starts of games don’t determine the outcomes of games,” Head Coach Tomlin said. “We need to keep that in mind as we prepare, too. I don’t want to get lulled into a sense of comfort if we should go up to New England and come out and have a successful start. We’ve got to play football for 60 minutes and winning football.”
The Patriots are 6-2 this season despite the fact that they haven’t played well in the offensive side. QB Tom Brady has only 9 TDs in the season, and 6 INTs.
“They have a good defense and the way we’ve been playing offensively, we can’t be up and down like we’ve been,” Brady said. “We have to be more consistent. Hopefully this is our best week to be able to do that.”
“You can pick apart his numbers, but the only one that matters is 6-2,” safety Ryan Clark said. “When you give Tom Brady a chance to win a football game, he’s going to do it.”
The NFL odds have the Patriots are 6 point favorites, and the game total is at 44. Pittsburgh is 3-8 ATS in its last 11 games when playing New England.
