On Sunday, the Steelers of Pittsburgh hosted the Bengals of Cincinnati for a great rivalry game. Pittsburgh was able to post a win, but it didn’t come without a cost. In the middle of the game, star quarterback Aaron Rogers suffered a wrist injury and Mason Rudolph took over the offense. With that, Aaron Rodgers suffered a wrist injury and he’ll now miss time.

The good news for the Steelers is that this isn’t expected to be a season-ending injury for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. However, the bad news here is that Rodgers is expected to miss some time, including Pittsburgh’s next game. Rudolph is a veteran, but not having Rodgers for a little while is going to hurt the offense as a whole.

Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a wrist injury for the Pittsburgh Steelers
With that victory, Pittsburgh is now 6-4 on the year and in first place of the AFC North standings. In order for Pittsburgh to win the division and reach the postseason, this team is going to need Rodgers to be healthy. His health is of course something that head coach Mike Tomlin is going to be worried about moving forward for this team.
“He was excited about the win,” Tomlin stated following Pittsburgh’s statement win over the Bengals on Sunday. “I just talked to him (Rodgers), but that’s all we talked about. We didn’t talk about his injury, we talked about the significance of the win.”

Moving forward, a lot of fanatics think that this is going to be a close fight between Baltimore and Pittsburgh for the AFC crown. Jackson and Derrick Henry form a great combo on offense, while Rodgers has been able to throw the ball all over the field for the Steelers.
Next up on the schedule for the Steelers is a face-off against the Bears. Chicago has been on fire as of late as well, so this is going to be a good game. Rodgers won’t be able to play in that one, which is unfortunate. The hope for Steelers fans is that Rodgers will only miss 1-2 games.
That’s unknown, but Pittsburgh is also going to want to be careful to not rush him back too soon. It will be interesting to see when the quarterback is able to return, but the longer he’s out, the worse things will be for the Steelers.
