Bills to blowout Dolphins: NFL Saturday Week 15 Picks

  • The Buffalo Bills (10-3) are 7.5-point favorites over the visiting Miami Dolphins (8-5) in Week 15
  • Tua Tagovailoa faces the league’s second-best defense after struggling in two straight outings
  • The AFC East rivals meet in Orchard Park, NY on Saturday, Dec.17 at 8:15pm ET on NFL Network

While the Bills are surging towards the postseason with four-straight victories, Miami is in danger of falling out of the playoff race following consecutive losses.

Can Mike McDaniel and Tua Tagovailoa right the ship before it’s too late? Can Buffalo maintain it’s grasp on the conference’s No. 1 seed? Before we check the odds on this AFC East rivalry game on Saturday night, here’s where you can find the best Super Bowl betting tips and the top betting sites for NFL football in 2022.

Is Tua Toast?

Have the Dolphins been figured out? Miami’s once explosive offense has been held to 17 points in back-to-back outings. Tua Tagovailoa completed just 10-of-28 passes for 145 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night’s loss to the Chargers. He was somehow even worse than his two-interception performance versus San Francisco the week before.

Tagovailoa passed for only 186 yards and a score in Miami’s fluky 21-19 victory over the Bills in Week 2. With Tyreek Hill dealing with ankle issues and running back Jeff Wilson likely to miss Saturday’s game with a hip injury, it’s difficult to see the third-year QB generating much offense in Orchard Park.

Buffalo survives

It sure wasn’t pretty, but the Bills outlasted the Jets 20-12 on Sunday for their fourth-straight win. Josh Allen and company generated only 232 net yards of offense and punted on their first five drives. However, Sean McDermott’s defense harassed Mike White all day, delivering a handful of punishing hits.

Seven different Buffalo defenders generated at least three QB pressures in the Week 14 victory. It’s a scary proposition for a concussion-prone quarterback like Tua.

Buffalo vs Miami

Buffalo is a 7.5-point home favorite at Highmark Stadium on Saturday night. Leading the AFC at 10-3, the Bills can’t afford to slip up down the stretch and allow the Chiefs to sneak past them for the conference’s sole playoff. Earning a W would also significantly damage their divisional rival’s chances of making the postseason.

Mike McDaniel is no doubt one of the brightest offensive minds in the league. But, scheming up offense against a Bills team allowing the second-fewest points (17.1) in the NFL seems borderline impossible after Sunday’s dispiriting outing versus the Chargers. The Fins also have matchups against the Patriots’ and Jets’ top-ten D’s just around the corner. Don’t be surprised if they fall out of the playoff race.

Best Bet

Bills vs Dolphins has an over/under of 43.5 points. Josh Allen only passed for 147 yards and a TD against the Jets on Sunday, but things will go much smoother against Miami’s bottom-ten pass defense. They’re permitting 242.5 yards per game through the air.

Look for Allen to deliver his best performance since injuring his elbow over a month ago. Buffalo will fillet the Fins on Saturday night.

Final Score Prediction: Buffalo 38, Miami 16
