- BetOnline has the Chiefs as 10-point home favorites versus the Giants on Monday Night Football
- Kansas City is 4-14 against the spread in their past 18 games going back to last season
- New York is 20-6 ATS in its past 26 road games despite being one of the NFL’s worst franchises over the past couple of years
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense sunk to a previously unthinkable new low in Week 7, generating just a field goal in a 27-3 loss to the Titans on Sunday. Now sitting with a 3-4 record and in real danger of missing the playoffs in the AFC, Kansas City hosts the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

Chiefs vs Giants
Kansas City is a 10-point home favorite at Arrowhead versus the Giants on Monday night. After being embarrassed by Tennessee, this looks like the perfect “get right” spot for a Chiefs offense that is leading the league with 17 turnovers, more than they had all of 2020.
Having committed multiple turnovers in five games this season, Mahomes needs to play a safer brand of football against a New York defense that sacked the Panthers six times on Sunday, holding them to 173 total yards and three points.

On the other side of the ball, Daniel Jones should have no trouble moving the ball up and down the field on a Chiefs defense that’s allowing 404.6 yards and 29 points per game. However, he might have to do it alone if Big Blue doesn’t get any of its injured weapons (Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard) back on Monday night.
It’s also possible the Giants trade athletic tight end Evan Engram before the Chiefs game, however, it’s more likely the deal gets consummated next week before the league’s trade deadline.
MNF Best Bets
Bet the UNDER on 52.5. Last week, Kansas City recorded its fewest points since a 38-3 loss to the Broncos in 2012. While the Titans game will no doubt be the low-point in the season for Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce, there are too many underlying issues with Andy Reid’s offense to expect a blowup performance on MNF.
With star defensive tackle Chris Jones back on the field, the Chiefs D should also start to trend upwards against the G-Men considering all the pieces they’re missing on the offensive side of the ball.

Chiefs to cover the 10-point spread. Notwithstanding last week’s stellar showing versus Carolina and a surprising Week 4 road victory over New Orleans, the Giants have already been blown out by the Cowboys (44-20) and Rams (38-11) this season. While the Chiefs’ offense is no longer in the same league with those clubs, Mahomes will certainly be able to get back on track on Monday night.
Final Score Prediction: Kansas City 30, Giants 21.
