- The Kansas City Chiefs (9-2) are 2.5-point road favorites over the Cincinnati Bengals (7-4)
- Joe Burrow has a 2-0 career record versus Patrick Mahomes, including a win in last year’s AFC Championship
- The Week 13 game on CBS will kick off from Paycor Stadium on Sunday, December 4 at 4:25pm ET
Joe Burrow is hoping to experience a little déjà vu this Sunday. Last January, his Bengals defeated the Titans on the road before upsetting the Chiefs to land a berth in the Super Bowl. Following another hard-fought victory over Tennessee in Week 12, Cincinnati now hosts Kansas City.
Before we check the odds on this matchup between two AFC powerhouses, here’s where you can find the best Super Bowl betting tips and the top betting sites for NFL football in 2022.

Mahomes vs Burrow
Joe Burrow outdueled Patrick Mahomes in last year’s AFC Championship Game. What happened to the Chiefs quarterback in the loss still remains a mystery. KC scored just three points in second half and Mahomes threw two costly interceptions, including one in OT, to allow the Bengals to comeback from a 18-point deficit.
At -160 to win the 2022 NFL MVP, Mahomes is back on top of the football world this season. Following an easy 26-10 victory over the Rams in Week 12, Andy Reid’s club has three-game lead in the AFC West with a 9-2 record.

Bengals keeps getting better
Cincinnati opened the season with two-straight losses and suffered an embarrassing 32-13 defeat to their AFC North rivals in Cleveland in Week 8. However, Zac Taylor’s squad has rebounded nicely with three-consecutive W’s over the Panthers, Steelers and Titans. Sunday’s 20-16 victory over the Titans was by far their most impressive. Playing without star receiver Ja’Marr Chase and running back Joe Mixon, the Bengals gutted out the AFC divisional round rematch.
Most encouraging has been the play of Cincy’s much-maligned offensive line. Burrow was pressured on just 18.4% of dropbacks Sunday, compared to the 32% pressure rate he faced against Mike Vrabel’s club in last year’s playoffs.
Bengals vs Chiefs
Cincinnati is a 2.5-point home underdog at Paycor Stadium and the game has a healthy 52.5-point over/under. KC leads the league in points per game (29.6) and the Bengals rank sixth (26.9). Both clubs’ defenses are also middle of the pack when it comes to allowing points and passing yards. And, in addition to the 27-24 OT battle for the AFC Championship, the Bengals defeated the Chiefs 34-31 in an entertaining affair in November 2021.
Mahomes is 0-2 versus Joe Burrow in his career. So, it will be interesting to see if he brings the same fury to this rematch as he did to Week 4’s Super Bowl rematch with the Buccaneers where he passed for 249 yards and three scores in a 41-31 blowout win.

Best Bet
The Chiefs offense was not at its best on Sunday, settling for four red-zone field goals in a 26-10 victory over the 3-8 Rams. However, Andy Reid has a tendency to save his best plays for his toughest opponents. That said, this is a far bigger game for the Bengals, who at 7-4 are tied atop the AFC North with Baltimore.
With Chase scheduled to make his return, we like Burrow and the Bengals to defeat Kansas City again on Sunday.
Final Score Prediction: Bengals 26, Chiefs 23
