With Thanksgiving Day behind us, the NFL returns to just one game on its Thursday schedule for this week, Week 13 of the 2021 NFL season.
However, both teams involved in this week’s Thursday night game played on Thanksgiving Day. The Dallas Cowboys, who played in the mid-afternoon game, are coming off a 36-33 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The New Orleans Saints, who took on the Buffalo Bills in the late game on Thanksgiving, are coming off a 31-6 setback in that matchup.
Before we review the odds, preview the matchup and make our pick, here’s where you can find the top betting sites for NFL football in 2021 and the latest Super Bowl betting tips and odds.

Cowboys vs Saints
Last week, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott went 32-of-47 and had a very productive day with 375 yards. Prescott threw for two passing touchdowns and had zero interceptions. While Prescott’s completion percentage was not one of his best on the year, the number of yards Prescott threw for was among his best totals on the season.
Dallas is 2-3 in its past five games.

It appears as if Trevor Siemian will not be under center to start the game for the Saints. Siemian, who started the past four games for the Saints after starting quarterback Jameis Winston was injured, went 0-4 as a starter. In his place, it looks like Taysom Hill will get the start for New Orleans.
Hill started four games for New Orleans last year. Hill went 3-1. He threw for 834 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Hill also ran for 209 yards and 4 touchdowns in the games he started. It also looks like the Saints offense will get Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram back for this week’s game.

Dallas has been hit hard by COVID-19 and as of now, the club will be missing two players and six coaches, including head coach Mike McCarthy for Thursday night’s road game.
Thursday Night Football Best Bets
Pick Dallas to win. The Cowboys defense has not been great this season, but the offense is playing well. The Saints are live dogs, but I think this week will be a rough one for the team as they get accustomed to playing their third starting quarterback on the season.
Pick the Saints to cover. With the way the Cowboys defense has played this season, the return of the Saints’ running backs and Hill’s ability to open things up, I think the Saints will keep it close enough to cover the spread on Thursday night.
