- The Dallas Cowboys (7-3) are 9-point home favorites over the New York Giants (7-3) in Week 12
- America’s Team first played on Thanksgiving in 1966 and has a 31-22-1 all-time record
- The NFC East rivalry game on FOX kicks off from AT&T Stadium on November 24 at 4:30pm ET
While the Cowboys and Giants head into their Week 12 Thanksgiving game with matching 7-3 records, the NFC East rivals are heading in opposite directions. Dallas announced themselves as Super Bowl contenders on Sunday, destroying the previously once-beaten Minnesota Vikings 40-3 in their own building. Meanwhile, New York’s 31-18 defeat to the Lions was their second loss in the last three games.
Before we check odds on Thursday’s matchup, here’s where you can find the best Super Bowl betting tips and the top betting sites for NFL football in 2022.

Dallas’ D dominates
The Cowboys’ defense had a season-high seven sacks in Sunday’s 40-3 destruction of the Vikings. NFL Defensive Player of the year frontrunner Micah Parsons registered four tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and five QB hits. More importantly, he survived a third-quarter knee injury, returning to the game after a trip to the medical tent.
Daniel Jones had been enjoying a successful season under new head coach Brian Daboll, going six-plus games without throwing a pick. However, after throwing two interceptions in a Week 11 loss to Detroit, the Giants quarterback will be under the microscope (and under heavy pressure) on Thanksgiving Day. Dallas sacked Jones five times and picked him off once in a 23-16 Week 3 victory.

Dak back in command
After a disappointing loss to the Packers in Week 10, Dak Prescott threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday, registering a season high in completion percentage. Tony Pollard caught six balls for 109 yards and two scores with an additional 80 yards on 15 carries. His tag-team partner in the backfield, Ezekiel Elliott, also added two TDs on the ground despite mediocre efficiency (15 carries for 42 yards).
The Giants are allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game (135.0) this season. Expect offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to keep dialing up run plays on Thanksgiving Day.
Cowboys vs Giants
Dallas is favored by nine points at AT&T Stadium and the over-under is set at 44.5 points. Dan Quinn’s defense is permitting the fewest points per game (16.7) in the NFL and New York is in the lower half of the league in points scored. However, Dallas’ offense is top ten in generating points (25.1 per contest) despite missing Prescott for five games earlier this season.
The last three Cowboys games have hit the OVER with Mike McCarthy’s club averaging 39 points in those contests. While defensive coordinator Wink Martindale has made Big Blue respectable on that side of the ball, it’s hard to envision the Giants D providing much resistance on Thursday.

Best Bet
The Cowboys have made a tradition of letting down their fans in big spots – which includes a 36-33 loss to the Raiders last Thanksgiving. However, they may have already gotten it out of their system with that Week 10 loss to the Packers.
Ranking No. 2 in Football Outsiders’ DVOA rating, only behind the Bills, Dallas is a true Super Bowl contender. Look for them to bludgeon the Giants this Thanksgiving.
Final Score Prediction: Dallas 31, Giants 17
