The trade deadline for the National Football League arrived this week and it was pretty exciting for NFL fans everywhere. Plenty of teams were quite busy in trying to add quality players and the list includes the Cowboys of Dallas. Jerry Jones made a couple of moves. The headlines included the Cowboys trade for Quinnen Williams in a last-second move to save season.

During Monday Night Football, the hope was that the Cowboys would be able to have no issues taking on the Arizona Cardinals, but the NFC West team pulled off an upset. With that loss, Dallas fans were furious, but Jones silenced some angry people down with his trade for Williams. However, did the Cowboys give up too much for him?
New Cowboys DT Quinnen Williams is here. And above anything else, he’s hungry to win after multiple losing seasons in New York:

The Dallas Cowboys pulled off a blockbuster trade to land Quinnen Williams
Williams is one of the best interior defensive lineman in the National Football League, but fans are not happy that a first-round pick was part of the deal to get him to Dallas. Williams is now going to have a ton of pressure to play at a high level, but the Cowboys are confident he’ll be great. Williams appears also quite happy to no longer be playing with the Jets.
“They knew I was frustrated. I think the world knew I was frustrated being there so long and still losing,” Williams said via Sports Illustrated. “But like I say, any ultra-competitor, man, any guy who plays this game to win is going to be frustrated no matter if you win 100 games and lose that one, or when I was at Bama I went 16-1 and lost the national championship — I was frustrated.”
According to the best sports betting sites, the Cowboys hold +710 NFL betting odds to reach the playoffs this season. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Dallas is going to fight for a division title, which is not what was expected of them this season. Instead, frustration has surrounded this team thus far.
However, adding Williams has a lot of people talking and the hope is that his presence up front can prevent running backs from recording big gains, while he can also add to the pass-rush too. Williams is a great player and it will be interesting to see how he progresses from now until the end of the year.
On offense, Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and others looked a bit sluggish for most of Monday Night Football in the loss to the Cardinals of Arizona. That’s going to have to change moving forward if the Cowboys want to get back to their winning ways and make some noise in the race to get to the postseason this winter.
