The Giants of New York are going through another rough season with Brian Daboll, the head coach for New York, and fans are not happy with the way things are going. What makes things worse is that the team from the NFC East division can’t seem to stay healthy. With the players in action earlier than normal this week, the Darius Slayton injury is another crucial blow for the NY Giants vs the Eagles.
| NFL Week 6 odds | |||
| Eagles to win | -390 | -390 | -390 |
| Giants to win | +275 | +275 | +275 |
| Over 48.5 points | -110 | -110 | -110 |
| Under 48.5 points | -110 | -110 | -110 |
Last week in the loss on the road to the Saints of New Orleans, Slayton had a terrible performance, especially in the first half. He had a costly fumble which was brutal to see. He also was dealing with a hamstring injury. According to reports, that hamstring injury is going to keep him off the field for the Thursday Night Football game against the Eagles of Philadelphia.
Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring) is not expected to play Thursday vs. Eagles, per sources.
Hamstring on a short week is tough. Will be out barring surprising uptick.

Darius Slayton has been ruled out for the NY Giants in Week 6
“Just trying to make a play, I don’t know if he punched it out, I don’t know how I lost the ball,” Slayton told reporters about his fumble immediately after the loss to New Orleans. “Obviously, right there I have to be better, I have to do a better job at securing the ball.”
You can tell Slayton was down in the dumps after that loss, but now things are being made worse for him since he has been ruled out for the game against the Eagles. The mountain to climb has gotten even more difficult for the Giants, as the Eagles are big favorites to post a win. An upset from NYG would be a bit of a surprise.
According to the best sports betting sites, the Eagles hold -390 NFL betting odds to post a win in this one. Not many NFL betting sites are giving the Giants much of a chance, as they’ve been given +275 odds. Will Jaxson Dart and Co. be able to pull off a stunner?
That doesn’t seem too likely, as New York is being hit with serious injuries at the wrong time. A couple of weeks ago, superstar receiver Malik Nabers went down in the win over the Chargers. After the game, it was reported that he had suffered a torn ACL. Because of that injury, Nabers, a former first-round pick, is now out until next season.
Losing Nabers is a major blow for the Giants, as he’s one of the best wide receivers in the National Football League. With him out, Slayton stepped in as the No. 1 receiver for the New York offense, but he’s going to miss at least one game with his hamstring issue.
That leaves things pretty thin for New York at the position, with Jalin Hyatt now expected to play more of a role in things. The Eagles will have a ton of confidence in being able to record an easy win. Soon enough, we’ll find out if that will be the case for the reigning Super Bowl champs or not. It will be interesting to see how things go down.
