Giants vs. Buccaneers Picks and Predictions

  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are an 11.5  point home favorite against the New York Giants on the Week 11 edition of Monday Night Football
  • Tampa Bay is 6-3 against the money line this season
  • New York is 9-7 against the spread this season

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not won a game since they bested the Chicago Bears 38-3 in Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season. Tom Brady and crew dropped a 36-27 matchup to the New Orleans Saints in Week 8, had a bye in Week 9, and then lost to the Washington Football Team by a score of 29-19 in Week 10. Before their two-game losing skid, the Buccaneers were 6-1. Today, the team is 6-3 and in first place in the NFC South.

The 3-6 NY Giants are coming off their bye week. In Week 9, the Giants bested the Las Vegas Raiders by a 23-16 score. The Giants look to go on theIr first winning streak when they had to Florida. The team has lost three games in a row and two consecutive games during the 2021 NFL season but has yet to put together two wins in a row.

The Giants and Buccaneers met at Raymond James Stadium on Monday, November 22.

Giants vs. Buccaneers

Don’t expect Tampa Bay to be unprepared for the Giants at home on Monday Night. An upset loss to Washington will have the team ready to prove a point and show that the loss last is not what this version of the Buccaneers is all about. Tampa Bay’s offense has been hobbled by the loss of Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski due to injury. Tampa Bay is also hurting a bit on the defensive side of the ball with Vita Vea getting hurt against Washington.

Tampa Bay ranks third in the NFL in total offense. The team averages 406.4 yards per game. That yardage is split with 315.6 in the air and 90.9 on the ground. That percentage tells you why Brady misses Brown and Gronkowski so much. The Bucs average 31 points per game and give up an average of 23.6.

The Buccaneers defense is the ninth best in the NFL this season. Tampa Bay has been especially good against the run, where it gives up an average of 79.8 yards per game. Losing Vea could hurt Tampa Bay against the Giants’ rush.

New York is near the bottom half of the NFL in offense with 334.8 yards per game. The club averages 238.9 yards in the air and 95.9 on the ground.

The Giants’ defense has also been below average. New York gives up an average of 372.4 yards per game, which is better than just seven teams. The Giants have averaged 19.9 points per game while surrendering an average of 24.

The Giants got some good news this week as it seems as if Saquon Barkley, who is the team’s best running back, should be back on the field for Week 11. Barkley has not played since Week 5.

MNF Best Bets

Bet the Buccaneers to win. Tampa Bay might be missing some key players, but they have Tom Brady on the field and that’s going to be enough for the Buccaneers to beat the Giants.

Bet the Giants to cover. If Gronkowski and Brown both get healthy and can play at close to 100 percent, this pick could change, but with both players looking unlikely, the Giants should keep this game close enough to cover the 11.5-point spread.
