Tight Top 5 in the MVP race
Kyler Murray (+700) led his team to a 30-19 comeback win over Jacksonville, which begs the question – how in the hell were the Cardinals trailing the Jaguars? Following the Arizona quarterback and Mahomes is last week’s frontrunner Tom Brady (+725), whose numbers against the Rams on Sunday (432 passing yards, 1 pass TD, 1 rush TD) look far more impressive than they actually were.
Los Angeles snapped Tampa’s streak of nine straight games with 30-plus points, allowing Brady to convert just six of 13 third downs in a convincing 34-24 Week 3 win. Matthew Stafford (+750) was far better, lighting up Tampa’s defense for 343 yards and four scores through the air.
Matthew Stafford has 9 Pass TD, tied with Kurt Warner (1999) for the most ever by a Rams QB in their first three games of a season.

Biggest risers after Week 3
Josh Allen (+750) was available at a +1400 discount following the Bills’ loss to the Steelers in Week 1, but those days are over after Buffalo’s back-to-back blowout wins over Miami and Washington. Quelling any concerns about potential accuracy regression, Allen connected on 32 of 43 passes for 358 yards and four touchdowns on Sunday.
Justin Herbert (+900) can add “outdueled Patrick Mahomes” to his resume. After his team struggled in the redzone in Weeks 1 and 2, the sophomore QB sealed the deal at Arrowhead with a four-yard endzone strike to Mike Williams with 32 seconds remaining. Sitting fourth in the league in passing yards (956), Herbert will continue to climb the board with a few more 4 TD efforts like this one.

Aaron Rodgers (+1000) saw his odds to repeat as NFL MVP sink to +2500 following a Week 1 blowout loss to the Saints, but the media narrative is quickly changing on the Hall of Fame QB after two victories in prime-time against the Lions and 49ers. The 37-year-old is almost being doubled in passing yards by league-leader Derek Carr (1203 yards to 649) but there’s plenty of time to catch up.
Potential Value Play
Kirk Cousins (+4000) went 30-for-38 passing for 323 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions Sunday to outduel Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. While the Vikings are sitting with a 1-2 record thanks to a Dalvin Cook fumble and a missed field goal, Cousins has been outstanding through three contents, throwing for 918 yards, 8 scores and 0 picks with a 118.3 QB rating.
