The Steelers beat the Giants in New York despite the adversity both teams suffered in the previous days of the match.
“We’re finishing the game now,” linebacker LaMarr Woodley. “I mean, that’s the biggest thing … we went to Oakland, we didn’t finish and when we went to Tennessee, we didn’t finish, but (Sunday) we finished”.
Pittsburgh believes in their philosophy of ‘next man up’, especially in the running back position.
“Whoever’s being productive when healthy is going to get the totes,” Mike Tomlin said. “I really think it’s that simple. I’m not going to make it any more complex than it has to be. At times this season we’ve had a running-back-by-committee approach because none of them had been overly effective at that time.
The Chiefs have 29 turnovers, 21 more than Pittsburgh and 10 more than anyone else in the league.
Kansas City tries to run the ball effectively, but when they try to throw it, their games to the drain. Quarterback Matt Cassel has the most pass attempts in the league (66), without a touchdown pass against five or more rushers this season.
The Chiefs are 4-9-1 ATS in its last 14 games when playing the Steelers. The total has gone OVER in 4 of Pittsburgh’s last 5 games when playing at home against Kansas City
