NFL moves to 17-game season
Before placing your bets, keep in mind that NFL owners approved the expansion of the regular season to 17 games. That means an ascending team like the Buffalo Bills would only have to go 11-6 to hit the OVER on their 10.5 win total and the Minnesota Vikings could hit their 8.5 OVER with a 9-8 record that’s barely over .500.
At the same time, we don’t believe the extra game will help the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins or Baltimore Ravens surpass their respective win totals (9.5, 9.5, 11.5) and therefore would lean heavily towards the UNDER. However, the problem with all these wagers is you have to pony up $130+ to win a $100. Instead, let’s shop for some better numbers where there’s more value.
The Bills retained nearly their entire core. Josh Allen made a huge leap last year, but he will get better. And culture matters.

Win Total Best Bets
Coming off an 11-win season and Wild Card Weekend victory over Pittsburgh, Cleveland should have no trouble exceeding their 10.5 win total (-115). The Browns have one of the best offensive lines in all of football and shored up their defense by signing safety John Johnson III and cornerback Troy Hill and sealing the deal with long-time flirtation Jadeveon Clowney.
Through his first nine seasons in Seattle, Russell Wilson has a career 98-45-1 record and has finished below 10-6 only once in his career, when his team went 9-7 in 2017. With an extra game to play in 2021, taking the OVER on 9.5 wins (-115) almost seems like stealing – especially since all that trade buzz died down months ago.
Since 2017, Russell Wilson leads the NFL in these categories:

– Times sacked✔️Production

With Matthew Stafford in the fold, the Los Angeles Rams seem like a safe bet to surpass 10 wins (-115), while it’s hard to understand why the 49ers have a higher total (10.5 wins). Kyle Shanahan has hit that UNDER with room to spare in three of four seasons at the helm in San Francisco.
Sure, the Cowboys have a habit of disappointing us but with a healthy Dak Prescott, a new defensive coordinator in Dan Quinn, the No. 10 pick in Thursday’s NFL Draft and the same stacked wide receiver corps as last year, we’re confident in Dallas hitting the OVER on 9.5 wins (-115).
