Bad NFL teams are kind of fun in their own special ways. Terrible quarterbacks who huck up pick-six’s, angry coaches who are red in the face, and on the rare occasion, even butt fumbles!
With oddsmakers putting out futures on the NFL’s last winless team, we’ll attempt to determine which franchise will embarrass themselves the most over the first couple months of the 2020 season.

STRONG BETS TO SUCK
As you would expect, Jacksonville (+300) and Washington (+550) are two of the favorites to finish with the NFL’s worst record. But we expect both teams to outperform their low expectations. In fact, we picked the Jags to finish OVER 5 wins and Washington to hit the OVER on their meager 5.5 win-total.
For the purposes of this bet, Ron Rivera’s crew has a much tougher early-season slate with the Eagles, Cardinals, Browns, Ravens and Rams in the first five weeks. Meanwhile, Jacksonville should be able to pick up at least one W versus the Dolphins and Bengals in Weeks 3 and 4.

Speaking of Cincinnati (+900), head coach Zac Taylor is somehow still employed (and entrusted with developing No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow) after being the last winless team in 2019 and limping to a 2-14 record. Their aforementioned showdown with Gardner Minshew in Week 4 is the only soft spot in their schedule through the first nine weeks, so even with Burrow, history could repeat itself.
The Matt Rhule era in Carolina (+800) starts with a contest against Jon Gruden’s Raiders, and he also has winnable games versus the Falcons and Bears in Weeks 4 and 5. Still, we’ve long expected the Panthers to be among the worst teams in the league this year.
SURPRINGLY STINKY SQUADS
After new head coach Joe Judge made players and coaches run laps after mistakes were made in a recent scrimmage, Hall of Famer Sterling Sharpe tweeted, “This isn’t going to end well.” And it’s hard to disagree.
With a horrendous defense and a sophomore QB who can’t hold on to the football, we expect the Giants (+1000) to be picking high in the draft again next year. Big Blue has the Bears in Week 2 and Washington in Week 6, but they just might lose both of those.

New York has the second-toughest schedule in the league and their MetLife Stadium co-tenants, the Jets (+1200) have the third-hardest, so they’re also an excellent bet with Adam Gase already butting heads with Le’veon Bell.
Finally, don’t over look the Raiders at +1600. Las Vegas should absolutely defeat Carolina in Week 1, but should they get upset, they might not have another winnable game until November.
