Preseason week 2 continues this Friday with the Dallas Cowboys taking on the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium, with the Bolts as -3 favorites in the odds. The game will start at 9 PM ET.
The Cowboys will look to show a better side than they showed in the 3-0 victory over the Oakland Raiders in week one. Dallas’ offensive line is weak and has several injuries, which means Tony Romo, Kyle Orton and the rest of the quarterbacks could be in danger with every snap they take.
“We made some mistakes, and it cost us,” Dallas quarterback Tony Romo said. “There will be some good stuff to evaluate and get better. We have to get better from tonight’s game and we will.”
Orton was the best player from Dallas against the Raiders completing seven of his 12 throws with 97 yards; however, as usual he threw a pick.
The Chargers beat the Packers 21-13 at home where everything wasn’t all that amusing as San Diego lost Ryan Mathews to an injury. “It’s disappointing,” Rivers said. “You hate it for him, first of all, and then obviously it affects the team. It’s just unfortunate — first carry of the season — but he’ll still bounce back and have a great year.”
Rookie quarterback Jarrett Lee got most of the snaps, throwing for 235 yards and a touchdown, but he also was picked once.
The best here is to take San Diego, considering how talented they looked in week one and how awful Dallas appeared to be in the offensive line.
