Thursday Night Football put two AFC West teams on the field as the San Diego Chargers take on the Denver Broncos at 8:25 PM ET, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, in the opening of NFL’s week 15.
The NFL odds have Denver as 10 point favorites in the spread, and the game total is at 55.5 points.
The Broncos are 11-2 and 7-0 at home; they still fight to have the best record in the AFC and secure home field advantage.
“I guess you have some security but our job is not finished – winning this division is number one and winning this conference is number two,” wide receiver Eric Decker told the team’s official website. “And we have to make sure that we get better as a team as a whole. We have a big goal and expectations for this year, and that’s just one week at a time and grinding away.”
San Diego is still in the hunt for a playoff spot; they can’t afford to lose against after a great win over the NY Giants on Sunday.
“That is one of our better all-around games,” Chargers coach Mike McCoy said. “Overall, in all three phases, guys were making plays. It was different guys. We might not have thrown for X number of yards, but (it’s) the way we won the game.”
Denver is 6-9-4 ATS in its last 19 games when playing San Diego.
