The New Orleans Saints look to keep rolling at home when they host the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday at 4:25 PM ET, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, in the NFL’s week 11.
The Saints smashed the Cowboys 49-17 last week with Drew Brees throwing 392 yards, and 4 TDs. He’s unstoppable at the Dome, and the 49ers will have a monster challenge in hands.
“You don’t play many games like that, and every once in a while you find yourself on the good end and sometimes you find yourself once in a while on the bad end,” New Orleans coach Sean Payton. “You hope when your career is done you have more experiences on the good end.”
On offense, the 49ers need to keep the pace of the Saints passing game; last week QB Colin Kaepernick threw 91 yards while losing 10-9 to the Carolina Panthers at home.
“The way we look at it is as a unit. Offensively, we didn’t play well enough to win the game,” Harbaugh said. “Across the board, we take accountability for that and have fingerprints on it. I’m not going to go through and dissect position by position, raking anybody over the coals. I don’t think that’s the best thing for us.”
The odds have the Saints as three point favorites, and the game total is at 47.5. San Francisco is 5-10 against the spread in its last 15 games when playing New Orleans.
