The Philadelphia Eagles look to stay on top of the NFC East as they visit the Minnesota Vikings, this Sunday at 1 PM ET at Mall of America Field for the NFL’s week 15.
The Eagles are 8-5 while riding on a five game winning streak that includes a victory over the Detroit Lions, last week during a blizzard.
“The biggest thing we stress each week is whatever opponent that we have, let’s just be 1-0 that week,” LeSean McCoy told the team’s official website. “We’re not looking down the line to the Cowboys game or (what our record is). We just want to keep winning and control our own destiny.”
Philadelphia has a one game lead over the Cowboys, but they have to close the season in Dallas; plus, they already lost the first game they met.
“We’re just a one-week operation, so I literally was thinking about the Vikings game running off the field (last) Sunday,” coach Chip Kelly said. “It’s, ‘What’s our next opportunity to go out and see where we are as a team?’ and that’s what this deal is all about. The teams that are mentally tough can work their way through it, and I think we have a mentally tough group.”
Minnesota is not playing for anything; in fact, they won’t have RB Adrian Peterson or Toby Gerhart for this game. The Vikings are 3-3 at home this season and 1-2 against NFC East opponents.
The Eagles are 5.5 favorites over the Vikings in the NFL Odds.
