The Buffalo Bills are off to a healthy 2-0 start in 2014, and they look to continue their early success as they host the San Diego Chargers on Sunday (1 p.m. Eastern on CBS). Meanwhile, the Chargers are fresh off a convincing victory against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Buffalo has relied heavily on its big-play defense, which has created five turnovers and sacked the quarterback six times in two games. On the other hand, the Bills’ offense has struggled, especially in the red zone, which is something the team hopes to correct.
“It’s sad to just be kicking field goals. That’s something we have to fix,” admitted rookie receiver Sammie Watkins.
Quarterback E.J. Manuel isn’t too concerned about it though as long as the team is winning. “You’re never going to be perfect, but the good thing is we’re still coming out with two wins versus two great teams,” Manuel explained. “As long as we win, I’m happy.”
The Chargers have to be ecstatic about their win over Seattle. In particular, tight end Antonio Gates turned back the clock, catching three touchdowns. “Just the fact that we continue to believe that we can achieve what we set aside to accomplish. This speaks volumes to what the locker room is about, and what we believe we can go out and do on Sundays,” Gates said after the game last Sunday.
With Seattle behind them, the Chargers are now focused on the next challenge. Unfortunately however, San Diego did lose starting running back Ryan Mathews for a while, which puts more pressure on quarterback Philip Rivers and the passing game to produce.
Neither team is currently favored (pick ‘em) in what should be a tight game. The over/under stands at 44.5.
