Brock Purdy delivers
Brock Purdy passed for 185 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score in a 35-7 beatdown of Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. The last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft will be without Deebo Samuel on Thursday after the star wide receiver was carted off the field in Week 14. That said, he still has a fun assortment of weapons with George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey.
Seattle also doesn’t pose much of a challenge defensively. Pete Carroll’s group allows the third-most points per game in the NFL (25.7) and is the second-worst defense against the run, permitting 160.5 yards per contest.

Seahawks stumbling to finish
Seattle has been one of the stories of the season. Expected to be one of the worst teams in the league, the Seahawks roared to a 6-3 start thanks to journeyman QB Geno Smith. However, the ‘Comeback Player of the Year’ favorite had his first multi-interception game of 2022 in Sunday’s 30-24 loss to the Panthers.
The Seahawks have lost three of its past four games, all to teams that were under .500. While they’re still in the playoff picture at 7-6, it’s not looking good with matchups on tap versus the Niners, Chiefs and Jets.
Seattle vs San Francisco
San Francisco is a 4-point road favorite in Lumen Field and the over-under is set at 43.5 points. Low game totals have been par for the course for a Niners team that allows a league-low 15.2 points per contest. And with rookie Kenneth Walker expected to miss this one, it’s hard to imagine Travis Homer making any headway against SF’s league-best run defense (75.1 yards per game allowed).
On the other side of the ball, Christian McCaffrey should have plenty of space to operate. CMC racked up 153 total yards and two scores on Sunday, while Seattle allowed Carolina to run for 223 yards on 46 carries.

Pete Carroll is 8-3 all-time against Kyle Shanahan, winning four straight meetings until the Niners’ 27-7 victory over Seattle in Week 2. However, everything seems to point towards an easy 49ers win. The Seahawks simply aren’t good enough on defense to slow down San Francisco.
