- San Francisco (+1100) hosts the Packers (+1600) on Sunday Night Football in another game that will have a huge impact on Super Bowl futures
- The Carolina Panthers (+6000) are an intriguing longshot bet after demolishing the divisional-rival Saints
Week 2 of the NFL season was a tough one for quarterbacks around the league as the Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa, the Colts’ Carson Wentz, the Bears’ Andy Dalton and the Texans’ Tyrod Taylor all left their respective games with injuries. It’s also hard to believe anyone of them would switch places with Zach Wilson, who threw four picks against New England to demoralize poor Jets fans once again.
While the signal callers above have no shot at winning a Super Bowl this season, the top Lombardi Trophy contenders below all have one thing in common: a franchise QB they believe in. Before we check the updated board, here’s where you can get tips and advice on betting on NFL football games.

Buccaneers and Rams headed for a showdown
Kansas City (+525) has some company at the top of the board after Clyde Edwards-Helaire fumbled away a victory to the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers (+525) are Super Bowl co-favorites after scoring at least 30 points and winning each of their past nine games, the longest streak in NFL history.
Tampa Bay looks borderline unstoppable heading into this Sunday’s colossal matchup with a Los Angeles Rams (+1100) club averaging 30.5 points a game with new quarterback Matthew Stafford. Whichever team is triumphant in this early-season NFC Championship Game preview could become title favorites as early as next week.

San Francisco (+1100) had three different running backs get banged up in a 17-11 road victory against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 49ers will welcome Aaron Rodgers and the Packers (+1600) next Sunday night in another game that will have a big impact on Super Bowl futures.
Among the other top title contenders, the Bills (+1200) rebounded from a season-opening loss to Pittsburgh to put the boots to the AFC East rival Dolphins, Lamar Jackson and Baltimore (+1400) defeated Mahomes for the first time in four career attempts, and Cleveland (+1400) scored an unimpressive 31-21 victory over the Texans.
Longshots to consider
Arizona Cardinals (+2800). Through two games, Kyler Murray and company have done nothing to make us regret naming them our preseason Super Bowl longshot at +4000, but things are about to heat up. After a trip to Jacksonville, the Cards play the Rams, 49ers and Browns in successive weeks. With “Baby Yoda” playing like an NFL MVP, who’s to say they can’t win two of three and emerge as a true championship contender?
Dallas Cowboys (+2800). Mike McCarthy’s clock management almost cost his club in a 20-17 victory over the Chargers on Sunday. McCarthy makes it difficult to recommend America’s Team – but Dan Quinn’s new defense is showing strong early returns thanks to first-round pick Micah Parsons. The willingness of offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to draw up more plays for Tony Pollard is also a bonus.

Carolina Panthers (+6000). Year two of the Matt Rhule era is off to a fantastic start. New quarterback Sam Darnold shredded New Orleans for 305 yards and two touchdowns in an easy 26-7 win that saw the Panthers’ young D suffocate a Saints offense that put up 38 points just last week, sacking Jameis Winston four times and intercepting him twice.
With a road game against Houston this Thursday, Carolina will almost certainly be 3-0 when they head to Dallas the following Sunday. If not a Super Bowl contender, the Panthers are looking like a lock to make the playoffs at the very least.
