The Cincinnati Bengals want to keep rolling as they visit Sun Life Stadium to take on the Miami Dolphins, this Thursday at 8:25 PM ET, in the NFL’s week 9.
The Bengals have won four in a row, and they recently dismantled the NY Jets with a 49-9 victory as QB Andy Dalton three for 5 TDs.
“We’ve got to be the best team Thursday night, plain and simple,” HC Marvin Lewis said. “It’s us and the Dolphins and, we’ve got to be the best team. There’s no other challenge. We knew the schedule. That’s the way it is. There’s no ifs, ands or buts about it. You come, be ready to go.”
The Dolphins have lost four in a row, and they were beat by the Patriots on Sunday. They had a 17-3 lead but couldn’t finish the deal.
“We have to do a better job to close out games,” said receiver Mike Wallace, who has two 100-yard receiving games and one TD in his first season with the Dolphins. “We just have to step on their throat. We can’t let up, that’s all — the whole team, in all three phases.”
The betting odds have the Bengals as 2.5 favorites for Thursday Night; the line opened at 1.5, but it moved one point in two days. The game total is at 43 points.
Consider Cincinnati is 1-4 against the in its last 5 games when playing Miami at any place.
