- The NFL Season is two weeks old, but futures odds are already shifting
- There is a new favorite to win February’s Super Bowl in Atlanta
- Where can we find value wagering on the Super Bowl now?
The NFL season has gotten off to a frantic and surprising start.
The Steelers are winless through two weeks with Le’Veon Bell sitting out, and Antonio Brown is suddenly MIA. Meanwhile, the state of Florida is 6-0 with Blake Bortles, Ryan Tannehill, and Ryan Fitzpatrick leading the way.
In Tampa bay, Fitzmagic might be in the process of taking Jameis Winston’s job, and his style is as impressive as his 819 yards in the air through two games.
While Pittsburgh’s odds have dropped, the Bucs are still not getting a lot of respect. Let’s look at all of the futures odds to win the Super Bowl.

Are the Rams legitimate favorites?
There is no reason to doubt the LA Rams at this point. They won 11 games last season, made their roster better over the summer, and have two lopsided wins to start the 2018 campaign.
Beating the Raiders and Cardinals doesn’t tell us a great deal. That said, Jared Goff, Aaron Donald, and the LA Rams have looked awfully good, and have earned their place at the top of the odds sheet.
What About the Patriots?
New England is coming off a loss at Jacksonville, and are starting to show their age and lack of top-level talent. However, there are 14 regular season games to be played and the Pats have won 12 games or more in eight straight seasons. This isn’t the first time we’ve had all these same concerns about the New England Patriots, and it’s worked out poorly for those fading them.
In the relatively weak AFC, they will almost certainly host a playoff game or two. While the value is not significant, having Brady and Belichick in your corner come winter isn’t a bad thing.
Super Bowl Longshots that Offer Value
There are plenty of teams that provide significant value. The Super Bowl champions are 16/1 and will welcome back Carson Wentz in Week 3. With some of the best line play in the NFL, Philly is 1-1 after a tough loss to Tampa Bay. The NFC East has looked mediocre, and if the Eagles won it all with Nick Foles last year, they certainly can go back-to-back with Wentz.
The Saints should probably be 0-2, but they are 1-1, and the NFC South is wide open. At 20/1 New Orleans has work to do before they can field a defense capable of stopping anyone. That said, Sean Payton hasn’t won nearly 60-percent of his games by a fluke, and this is a franchise that seemed on their way to the NFC Title Game last year.
If you are looking for a real longshot, consider Houston at 50/1. Yes, they are 0-2, but both losses came in close road games and the Texans looked competitive against the Patriots. Every week that passes puts another week between Deshaun Watson and his injury, and JJ Watt and Jadeveon Clowney are an imposing force on the defensive front.
Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is
Futures are great because they give you a team to cheer for each week. Whether you like one of the favorites, or are going to take a chance, making a season long bet is great entertainment and an opportunity to score big. It doesn’t take a huge wager to win a significant payout on the 16/1 Eagles or the 20/1 Saints.
