Updated Super Bowl Odds After Week 10: Rams Rising While Ravens Sink

ARE THE RAMS FOR REAL?

Before Sunday’s victory over Seattle, the Rams (+1600) had only secured wins over the four NFC East teams and the Bears while dropping games to San Francisco, Miami and Buffalo. However, via Michael Salfino in The Athletic, Los Angeles is “out-gaining opponents by about 100 yards per game and outpassing them by about 1.8 yards per attempt — monster numbers for this era.”

Having limited opposing wideouts to under 123 yards per game, Jalen Ramsey and the Rams will lock horns with Tampa Bay’s trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown on Monday Night Football. If they can beat a Buccaneers (+800) outfit that got back on track in Week 10 by crushing the Panthers 46-23, Sean McVay’s team would have a case as the NFC’s best team.

Consider a +900 bet on the Rams to win the NFC Championship at Bovada.

DREW BREES GOES DOWN

New Orleans (+650) improved to 7-2 with an easy 27-13 victory over the 49ers, but lost quarterback Drew Brees in the process. With it yet to be determined how many weeks the 41-year-old will miss with rib and shoulder injuries, Sean Payton’s club will turn to Jameis Winston down the stretch as they look to secure the sole first-round bye in the NFC.

While the Saints’ schedule looks nice on paper, they’ll face a frisky Falcons club twice in the next three weeks and their divisional-rivals in Atlanta always play them tough. The good news is that they own the tiebreak against the 7-3 Bucs and the 7-2 Packers (+900) continued to look unimpressive in a ugly 24-20 win over the Jaguars.

Over in the AFC, the Ravens‘ odds sunk to a season-low +1400 after a stormy Sunday night loss to the Patriots (+7500) that dropped Lamar Jackson’s career record to 0-6 (including playoffs) when trailing by 10 or more points at any point in a game.

Somewhat fittingly, they’ll now host Tennessee (+3300) in a rematch of last season’s divisional playoff upset when the Ravens became the first No. 1 seed to fall to a No. 6 seed since 2010.
