Patriots (-3.0) over Saints
Hopefully the cameras catch Bill Belichick and Sean Payton chatting before the game because they definitely have a lot to commiserate about. After the Patriots struggled without Tom Brady last season, New Orleans found out that life without Drew Brees wasn’t going to be so easy, falling 26-7 to Carolina on Sunday. Jameis Winston was picked off twice by the Panthers and now faces a New England defense that intercepted Jets rookie Zack Wilson four times.
Cardinals (-7.5) over Jaguars
Just when you thought life couldn’t get any better for a Kyler Murray fantasy owner… the NFL MVP frontrunner heads to Jacksonville for a matchup with fellow No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence. Sitting second in the NFL in passing yardage (689) and passing touchdowns (7) with 51 yards and two scores on the ground, the 24-year-old is going to destroy Urban Meyer and the Jaguars this Sunday.

Chargers (+6.5) over Chiefs
Following a 36-35 loss to Baltimore, the Chiefs have only covered the spread once in their past 13 games. Patrick Mahomes has 680 passing yards and six touchdowns against just an interception in two games, however, Brandon Staley’s Chargers defense held the Cowboys explosive offense to just 20 points last week. Los Angeles’ run D allowed 198 rushing yards and two scores in that one, but draft bust Clyde Edwards-Helaire will be much easier to contain.
Buccaneers (-1.0) over Rams
This potential NFL Championship Game preview will have a huge impact on next week’s Super Bowl futures. Expect Matthew Stafford and the Rams to come out throwing as the Bucs have the second-worst passing defense in the NFL through two games, allowing 684 yards through the air to the Cowboys and Falcons. Good thing Tom Brady is well-equipped to keep up in a shootout, already passing for 655 yards and nine touchdowns this season.

49ers (-3.5) over Packers
While Aaron Rodgers righted the ship with a 35-17 home victory over the Lions on Monday night, Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers will prove difficult to prepare for on a short week. Especially for defensive coordinator Joe Barry, who has struggled in his first two weeks on the job in Green Bay. The Packers walloped the Niners last season but San Francisco had the upper hand in 2019, scoring blowout victories in the regular season and NFC Conference Championship.
