
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was the favorite to win the 2021 NFL MVP heading into Week 11 of the NFL season. Allen and the Bills were coming off a 45-17 win over the NY Jets in Week 10. Week 11 did not go well for Allen and the Bills. The team lost 41-15 to the Indianapolis Colts. After the loss, Allen slipped from +250 to +600 to win the 2021 NFL MVP.
With Week 12’s NFL games kicking off on Thanksgiving day, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is now the favorite to win the MVP award of the current NFL campaign.

Josh Allen had one of his worst weeks of the 2021 NFL season against the Colts. Allen went 21-for-35 for 209 yards. He threw for two touchdowns and had two interceptions. Allen’s quarterback rating for the week was 41, which was his third worst rating of the season. Allen and the Bills are 6-4. The team has alternated wins and losses over the past six games. Buffalo is favored over the Saints this week.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were on a two-game losing skid when they faced the NY Giants in Week 11. The Bucs won the game 30-10 to move the team’s record to 7-3. Tampa Bay sits in first place in the NFC South. Brady went 30-for46 in the game against New York while throwing for 307 yards. He had two touchdowns and one interception in the game. Brady’s quarterback rating was 65.4 on the day. Brady and the Buccaneers face the Colts this week. Tampa Bay is favored to win the game.
New name
Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts was not on the MVP board heading into Week 11 of the NFL season, but he made a big move and is now +1200 to win the annual award. Buffalo’s Josh Allen’s loss against the Colts in Week 11 was Taylor’s gain. Allen ran for a season high 185 yards against Buffalo and scored four touchdowns. Taylor leads the NFL in rushing yards with 1,122 and 13 rushing touchdowns. In addition, Taylor has the most 20-plus yards rushes (10), 40-plus yard rushes (3) on the season and he has the longest rush from scrimmage on the season at 83 yards. Taylor is in his second year in the NFL. In his rookie year with the Colts, Taylor ran for 1,169 total yards and scored 11 touchdowns.
Falling
Last week it was Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens who took a hit. Jackson went from +500 in Week 10 to +1200 for the MVP in Week 11. Jackson did not play in the Ravens win in Chicago in Week 11. With that, Jackson held steady at +1200.

This week’s biggest drop in the MVP race was the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott. Prescott was +650 in Week 11. After a 19-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs where Prescott went 28-for-43 with zero touchdowns and two interceptions, Prescott dropped to +1000 to win the 2021 MVP.
