Media day was this Tuesday in Super Bowl 47, and of course Randy Moss had something interesting enough to say to blow the media up. Moss said he’s the greatest receiver to play the game, hands down.
“I think I’m the greatest receiver to ever do it,” Moss said. “Because I think back when Jerry was playing — and no disrespect to Jerry Rice, because he’s arguably the greatest — but for me to be able to go out here and change and revolutionize the game from a single safety to a Cover 2 safety and dropping three guys deep and dropping four guys deep and still be able to make it happen? That is why I really hold my hat on that; that I really feel in my heart and in my mind that I am the greatest receiver to ever play this game.”
There are four prop bets ready for Randy Moss in Super Bowl 47, including:
• Randy Moss longest reception of game.
• Randy Moss total receiving yards.
• Randy Moss total receptions.
• Randy Moss yards on 1st reception.
Of course started the debate against other 49ers as Jerry Rice, considered the greatest wideout to play in the NFL had something to say: “Put my numbers up against his numbers,” Rice told ESPN’s Adam Schefter when he heard about Moss’ comments.
Moss will be on his second Super Bowl appearance, and curiously enough he was on a 15-1 team, and other with a 16-0 record, and has never been able to win the big game.
