The best game of the NFL week 13 will be on the biggest stage as the New Orleans Saints visit the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night football, at CenturyLink Field at 8:30 PM ET.
With a win, the Saints will get on top of the NFC and will control their destiny all the way to week 17. New Orleans hasn’t won a playoffs game away from home under Sean Payton, which makes home field advantage a big deal.
“I think it’s a typical stereotype with a dome team,” Payton said. “I don’t know what else to tell someone than to do some research and bring back some numbers, and I’ll answer a question.”
The Seahawks haven’t lost at home since Russell Wilson became their quarterback last season; they are 13-0 dating 2012, but they have two key losses in the secondary as Walter Thurmond and Brandon Browner won’t be available on Monday night.
“We’re still trying to work through it. I’ll say it again, I’ve always found myself looking for guys that maybe other people don’t see something special in and we take a chance on a guy here or there that needs some extra consideration and care,” coach Pete Carroll said. “And sometimes guys they have issues and things pop up, but I’ve always been kind of hopeful and make guys find the best in them and bring it out. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t.”
The Seahawks are 4.5 point favorites over the Saints for this huge matchup.
